We recommend all eligible women have a smear test every 3 years, or more frequently if medically advised.

Please bring your child’s red book to all appointments — vaccines cannot be given without it

✈️ Travel Vaccinations

If you are planning to travel abroad, you may need vaccinations to protect your health while away. Our practice nurse can advise you on what’s required based on your destination and type of travel.

🗓️ Book Early – At Least 6 Weeks Before Travel

To ensure you're protected in time, please book your initial travel consultation at least 6 weeks before your departure date.

Your Travel Vaccination Journey:

  1. First appointment – Consultation with the practice nurse to review your travel plans and determine which vaccines are needed

  2. Second appointment – You’ll receive the vaccinations. This must be scheduled at least 2 weeks before travel to allow the vaccines to take effect.

⛔ Some vaccines must be ordered in — they are not held in stock, so planning ahead is essential.

💷 Private Travel Vaccines & Charges

Not all travel vaccines are covered by the NHS. Some require a private prescription, which incurs an additional charge.

Many forms, reports, and letters for solicitors, employers, insurance companies, or licensing authorities are not covered by the NHS. These tasks are often carried out outside of normal working hours, and as such, a private fee applies.
